What kind of game is it?
TsunaPeaks takes the classic solitaire game Tri-Peaks and makes it easier to read by playing it on a clock. The deck has 48 cards: the numbers 1 to 12 in four suits. Twenty-eight of them are laid out in three peaks of 3, 6, 9, and 10 cards from top to bottom, one goes in the center of the clock, and the remaining 19 form the draw pile.
Tap a face-up card that is one higher or lower than the center card, and it becomes the new center card. Just like on a clock, 12 and 1 are neighbours, so 1 comes after 12 and 12 comes before 1. If nothing fits, draw a card from the pile. Clear all 28 cards to finish, and your time is your score. You have 3 minutes.
Features
The clock shows what you can take next
The center card sits inside the clock face, and the hand points to its number. The two numbers you can take next (for 12, that’s 11 and 1) light up in their own colours on the dial. Each number from 1 to 12 has its own colour, running once around the rainbow, so 12 and 1 connect by colour too. Link 12 and 1, and the hand spins all the way around for a “Full circle!”
Combos and bonuses cut your time
Take cards one after another within 4 seconds, without drawing, to build a combo. Your time is the actual time you took, minus bonuses. From the 5th card of a combo, each card takes off 0.5 seconds. A card with the same suit as the one before takes off 0.3 seconds, a card at the top of a peak takes off 2 seconds, and a “full circle” between 12 and 1 takes off 1 second.
Keep going even when the pile runs out
When the draw pile is empty, you can refill it by shuffling the cards stacked in the center (all but the top one) back into the pile. Each refill adds 10 seconds to your time. If you don’t do anything for about 5 seconds, the cards you can take (or the draw pile) wiggle to give you a hint.
Four themes and two looks
The suits come in four themes: Sweets, Animals, Sushi, and Gems & Fruits, and each round uses a different theme from the last one. You can switch between a pixel-art look and a smooth Classic look on the title screen. Both use the colours of a clock tower at night.
How your time is calculated
Your clear time is “the actual time + 10 seconds per refill − bonuses.” For example, say you cleared a round like this:
| What happened | Effect on your time |
|---|---|
| Actual time taken | 1:40.0 |
| Refilled the draw pile once | +10.0 s |
| Took 3 cards at the top of a peak | −6.0 s (2.0 s × 3) |
| Made 2 “full circles” between 12 and 1 | −2.0 s (1.0 s × 2) |
| Took a card with the same suit as the one before 5 times | −1.5 s (0.3 s × 5) |
| Took 8 cards from the 5th card of a combo on | −4.0 s (0.5 s × 8) |
| Clear time | 1:36.5 |
Bonuses come off your time the moment you take a card, so the time bar also fills back up a little. The fewer refills and the longer your combos, the faster your time.
Tips
- Before you take a card, check which card will turn face up underneath. More face-up cards means more numbers you can link next
- You don’t have to go up like 7→8→9. You can also go down like 9→8→7, or make a “full circle” from 12 to 1. Watch the two numbers lit on the clock and pick the order that keeps your run going longest
- A card at the top of a peak takes 2 seconds off, so clear the cards covering the peaks early
- A refill adds 10 seconds, so before you draw, make sure there’s no card you can still take
FAQ
- Does it cost anything?
- It’s free. No account or app install needed.
- How long does one round take?
- You have 3 minutes, and clearing faster ends sooner. The game pauses automatically when you switch tabs.
- How is it different from regular Tri-Peaks?
- The numbers are 1 to 12 instead of A to K, and 12 and 1 connect like on a clock. The suits are four pictures from each theme (for Sweets: a strawberry, cake, donut, and pudding). It’s a time attack, and bonuses such as combos and “full circles” cut your time.
- Which languages can I play in?
- English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, Spanish, and Korean. You can switch languages on the title screen.
- Can I share my result?
- Yes. Tap “Share result” on the result screen to share or copy a short message with the theme’s suits, your clear time (or how many cards were left if time ran out), your max combo, and your number of full circles.
- Is my data sent anywhere?
- No. Your best time, your last theme, and your language, sound, and look settings are stored only in your browser. A round in progress isn’t saved, so closing the page ends that round.
